Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you use the site.

TuneFreq uses cookies to provide essential functionality and improve the user experience. We do not use cookies for intrusive tracking or advertising.

Section 02 / Use

Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are necessary for TuneFreq to function. You cannot disable them without breaking the site.

  • Session Cookie (tf_auth_session): Keeps you signed in as you navigate the site. Expires when you sign out or after 30 days of inactivity.
  • CSRF Token (tf_csrf_token): Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Required for all form submissions.
  • Cart (tf_cart_session_id): Associates your anonymous cart with your browser until you sign in (then the cart is merged into your account).
  • Flash (tf_flash_message): One-time messages (e.g. "Signed out successfully") shown after a redirect.
  • Attribution (tf_visit_id, tf_referrer_source): First-touch and referral tracking so we can attribute signups to the right source.

Functional (localStorage)

We store a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage to improve your experience. You can clear it via browser settings.

  • Player State (tf_radio_player_state): Remembers your volume level, playback queue, and whether the radio was playing when you left.
  • Recent Searches (tf_recent_searches): Up to five recent search queries (the exact text you typed) for quick access (optional).

Browser Settings

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Block All Cookies: Most browsers let you block all cookies. Note: This will break TuneFreq's sign-in and checkout functionality.
  • Block Third-Party Cookies: This prevents tracking by external services (e.g., Airwallex, Cloudflare) but may affect payment processing.
  • Delete Cookies: Clear cookies from your browser history. This will sign you out of TuneFreq.
