Upload Policy

Stable, clear rules for preset packs, sample packs, ebooks, and other digital files. We won't change the rules on you overnight.

Section 01 / Upload types

TuneFreq categorizes all digital goods into musically related types. This keeps discovery and policy clear.

  • Releases & tracks — Music (albums, singles, stems). Created via upload; sold as digital releases or individual tracks.
  • Preset packs — Synth/DAW presets (.preset, .fxp, .vstpreset, .vst3preset, .aupreset, etc.).
  • Sample packs — One-shots, loops, stems (.wav, .aif, .aiff).
  • Ebooks & guides — PDFs, tutorials, and written guides (e.g. production tips, songwriting).
  • Plugins — Audio/MIDI plugins where file delivery is supported (e.g. installers, license files).

When you create a product, you choose the type. This helps buyers find what they want and keeps the platform organized.

Section 02 / Allowed file types

For digital download products (presets, samples, ebooks), we accept:

  • Archives: ZIP
  • Documents: PDF
  • Audio: WAV, AIFF
  • Presets: .preset, .fxp, .vstpreset, .vst3preset, .aupreset
  • MIDI: MID, MIDI

If you need another format for a musically related product, contact us. We aim to keep the list stable—no surprise removals.

Section 03 / Size limits

Per product: Maximum 500 MB total for all files in a single digital download product. If you have a larger pack, split it into multiple products or use a ZIP.

Per file: Individual files should be under 500 MB. Very large single files may time out on download; we recommend splitting or compressing.

These limits may be adjusted in the future only with advance notice and a reasonable transition period. We will not remove existing products that were compliant at upload time.

Section 04 / Prohibited uploads

What we don't allow

Pornography and explicit sexual material: TuneFreq does not allow pornographic or explicitly sexual material. Music is art, and the line between artistic expression and prohibited uploads can be nuanced—we acknowledge that. Our policy is clear: no porn. If you're unsure whether your work crosses the line, contact us before uploading.

Illegal uploads: You must not upload works that infringe copyright, promotes illegal activity, or violates applicable law. See our Terms and DMCA Policy.

Malware or harmful files: Do not upload executables or files designed to harm users' devices. Plugin installers and similar software must be legitimate and safe.

Policy stability

We will not change this policy in a way that removes previously allowed works without advance notice (e.g. 30 days) and a clear migration path. We've seen other platforms change rules overnight and leave creators in the lurch. That's not how we operate.
