Revenue Sharing & Collaboration

When you release music with featured artists or producers, you can split revenue so they get their share automatically.

How it works

  • When you create or edit a track or release, you can add collaborators and set revenue share percentages (e.g. 50% to you, 50% to the featured artist). The split applies to sales and, where applicable, streaming or subscription revenue for that release.
  • We calculate each person's share from every transaction and credit their balance accordingly. No need to pay them manually—they receive payouts through their own TuneFreq account once they've set up payment methods.

Who gets paid

  • Featured artists — Listed on the release; they get visibility and their share of revenue.
  • Producers or other contributors — If the system supports multiple roles, you can assign shares to each. Everyone must have a TuneFreq artist or account to receive payouts.

Best practices

  • Agree on splits before release. Changing splits after sales can be complex.
  • Ensure collaborators have accounts and payment methods set up so their share can be paid out. See How Payouts Work and Setting Up Payment Methods.
